About Walt.

My name is Walt Zwirko. I wrote, produced and hosted the Computer Corner news segment on WFAA-TV from 1993 until 2008. It was a side job during a slice of my 33 years at the ABC affiliate (1983-2016) as a news program producer, computer network manager and online content editor.

I fired up WFAA.com in 1995 using Windows Notepad to create the (very rudimentary) pages and a spare computer under my desk to serve them up.

Since 2017, I’ve served as the digital content manager at KTEN.com, a TV station that serves portions of North Texas and southern Oklahoma (we like to call it “Texoma”) from Denison, Texas.

My hat is off to prolific online creators like Techmoan, Leo Laporte, Perifractic, Lon.TV and All The Stations for giving me the inspiration to launch this project.
